27 June 2020. Day 67.
Jerome Ah-Soon has started working as a food delivery rider with foodpanda to help me raise funds to support the Children's Cancer Foundation in their work to enhance the lives of children, and their families, affected by cancer.
Jerome is a French national and former colleague of mine who has lived in Singapore for 6 years with his wife and 2 children.
He liked what I was I doing and has had several people close to him be affected by cancer. He signed up as a food delivery rider around 10 days ago and - like me - has been delivering food when his work schedule allows.
Jerome rides in Sengkang, Serangoon, Novena and Ang Mo Kio.
Jerome says: "Being a food delivery rider for this campaign also gives me the opportunity to do my daily exercise and I find it way more meaningful than riding in loops around Singapore as I used to do. It is obviously a different kind of efforts, a treasure-hunt kind of experience as well ! I record all my shifts on Strava and like to compare how I did. I invite everyone else to take the challenge with us, or to come up with new ideas of how to make something positive out of our post-Covid new way of living."
